What are all these Subscription Options?
How do I choose?!!
This site has a number of different subscriptions: Web News & Updates, and Calendar. Which should you choose? Here's a quick rundown on the options:
- Subscribe to Web News & Updates (EMail or RSS feed). Small but frequent updates on changes in the Website, the Foundation or the School. Anything new we find out about CCA that's interesting, we'll post as a news story. See the Home Page for examples of these stories. Email subscriptions send at most once a day. RSS Feeds updates are always available.
- Subscribe to Calendar (EMail or RSS feed). Get updates on events added to the calendar. These might be weekly or monthly, depending on the frequency of calendar changes. Email subscriptions send at most once a day. RSS Feeds updates are always available.
About RSS feeds (only read if you're interested in RSS feeds!)
RSS Feeds are a standardized way for users to subscribe to web updates. Viewing an RSS feed requires a special reader such as Google Reader, My Yahoo, or Mozilla Thunderbird. For instance, on My Yahoo, select "Add Content" then "Add RSS Feed". Paste the feed URL (see below) into the entry field and click the "Add" button. A new block will display on your page that includes headlines from the subscription you've selected (News or Calendar).
