CANYON CREST ACADEMY FOUNDATION
DESCRIPTION OF DIRECTED GIVING CATEGORIES
UNRESTRICTED: Donations contributed to this category are used to cover CCA’s top funding priorities for the school year, which are established by the principal and staff and approved by the CCA Foundation.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS: Maintaining the highest academic standards is a critical aspect of the Canyon Crest Academy mission. Funds contributed to this category supplement the school’s core curriculum in all subjects and provide necessary faculty support.
THE ARTS: Contributions to this category help support the wide variety of electives in theater, music, dance, and visual and fine arts, as well as the after-school Conservatory program and special events. In addition, monies support CCA’s extensive Artists in Residence program, both during and after school.
ATHLETICS: Varsity and Junior Varsity sports are an integral part of the high school experience at Canyon Crest. Donations to this category pay for assistant coaching stipends, tournament fees, equipment purchases, uniforms, and other expenses necessary to support the 22 sports and P.E. courses currently offered.
STUDENT SUPPORT: Contributions cover school-sponsored clubs, the Counseling Center, Special Education, tutoring support, and the Media Center. Donations also pay for out-of-classroom activities that serve to enhance each student’s total high school experience.
ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY: Funds contributed to this category provide ongoing technology enhancements, including the Science/Tech after-school programs. Support will ensure that CCA continues to be a leader in utilizing technology to enhance the educational enrichment of its students.
