We hope you will join us for an amazing opportunity to meet  Emmy-Award Winner, Javier Grillo-Marxauch at the second annual Cinema cocktail soiree fundraiser, “Cinema Uncut” on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.  Mingle with CCA Cinema parents and chat with the Cinema teachers and Guest Artists who work with your kids, in a beautiful and intimate setting.  Delight in delicious tray passed hors d’ouevres and sparkling champagne cocktails while enjoying live jazz, headlined by CCA’s own Nate Jarrell.

JAVIER GRILLO-MARXUACH

Though best known as one of the Emmy Award winning writer/producers of the hit ABC series LOST, and for creating The Middleman graphic novels and television series, Javier Grillo-Marxuach is a prolific creator of TV, film, comics, and trans-media content currently working as co-executive producer of The Dark Crystal, a ten-hour Netflix series revival of the classic Jim Henson feature film, and as consulting producer of Blood and Treasure, a thirteen-part summer series for CBS.  Both will air in 2019.  Grillo-Marxuach's career in television spans over twenty years, with credits including popular hits like MediumCharmed, and The Pretender, critically acclaimed series including Boomtown, and The 100, and cult shows like The PretenderThe  ChronicleJake 2.0The Shannara ChroniclesHelix, and seaQuest.

Javier will describe the path he followed in establishing a successful, productive, and influential career that has garnered top industry accolades including an Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award.  He will also provide encouragement and inspirational advice for parents of future filmmakers.
