More Information about Escrip and other shopping rebate programs:

What are Shopping Rebate Programs?

Shopping Rebate programs are an easy and free way to obtain donations for our school from local and national merchants.  These programs require no extra expenditures from CCA families. Instead, these "passive" fundraisers require our families only to register their existing grocery club cards, and in some cases credit cards or other accounts with a vendor, who in turn donates a part of each dollar received to the school.  Besides grocery stores, and local stores such as Griffin Ace Hardware, there are services such as Verizon Wireless (rebates for CCA are coming soon!) and hundreds of local, national and online stores that provide shopping rebates through the Escrip and SchoolPop programs.

What is Escrip?

Escrip is one of the oldest and best known shopping rebate organizations, and provides a convenient way for families to register their Vons/Safeway club number and credit card numbers (optional) to earn rebates from a variety of participating merchants for the organization of your choice.

How does it work?

You simply register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit/ATM, or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Chevron) and identify the organizations that you want to support.  Then every time you shop, your selected organization(s) will receive a percentage of your purchase price as a donation from the vendor. When shopping at a participating grocery store, it doesn't matter how you pay for your groceries as long as you have registered your grocery store card and either slide the card or enter your phone number at the time of purchase. Purchases at other participating merchants need to be made with a credit/debit card that you have registered with Escrip. There is no extra cost to you. All club card discounts remain in place and you continue to earn airline miles, special bonuses, and other rewards associated with these cards. In order to keep the organization selection current, Escrip requires you to renew your membership and organization selection annually.

Does Canyon Crest Academy know which families have signed-up?

Yes, CCA is provided a list of Escrip members who have selected CCA as a beneficiary organization, and the amount of donations that CCA has received thanks to each member’s purchases.  This information helps us to manage and market the program more effectively.  We never have access to personal information such as credit card numbers, or any information about your particular purchases.  A full disclosure of Escrip's privacy policy can be found at Escrip.com.

How do I sign-up or renew my Escrip membership, and make sure that CCA will receive a percentage of my purchases?

To sign-up for Escrip, go to www.escrip.com, and click on "About the Program" near the top of the page.  Then click on  "Sign-up now!" and follow the prompts to select your group (Canyon Crest Academy Foundation), your name and address, and then at least one card number (this is where you should enter your Vons Club card).   If you do not have your Vons club card number, you can obtain it by calling 877-723-3929  5:00 AM–9:00PM.  If you enter credit card numbers, then each time you use that credit card at an Escrip Merchant Partner, CCA will receive a percentage of your purchase.

If you are already signed-up for ESCRIP, renewing online is extremely easy.  However, you must be sure to enter Canyon Crest Academy as the organization you want to support.  Simply go to www.escrip.com and click in the space that says "Renew" in the lower left hand corner.  You'll be prompted to enter either your email address, your phone number, or a store loyalty card number that you have previously registered.  Simply enter whichever information you used when signing up, and you will be thanked for renewing.  But instead of quitting please then go to "my Escrip" and review the organizations listed for your account.  You may support up to three organizations at the same time with the same cards (the store donations are split among the organizations).  Please verify that Canyon Crest Academy Foundation is on your list, and remove any organizations that you no longer wish to support.  You should then review the cards that you have registered, to make sure that your Vons card is set-up.  You may also register credit cards so that CCA receives donations from many other stores in addition to Vons.

What is SchoolPop?

SchoolPop is very similar to Escrip, and provides a large online mall of merchants that will donate a percentage of your purchases to CCA.  SchoolPop is unique in that you do not need to register a credit card in order to receive these rebates; provided that you enter the stores through the SchoolPop website.  In addition to hundreds of online merchants, you may also purchase gift cards and receive rebates for these.  Additionally, you may also register your credit cards and then earn rebates for in-store purchases as well.  More information is available at www.SchoolPop.com.

What other shopping rebate programs is CCA Foundation affiliated with?

We are also partnered with Ralphs, Albertsons, Griffin Ace Hardware, and Target.   Please see the CCA foundation shopping rebates page to sign-up for these programs:
