Canyon Crest Academy, where are we now?

Since 2004, when Canyon Crest Academy (CCA) opened its doors to 364 freshman students in portable buildings in a parking lot, the Canyon Crest Academy Foundation has been working to raise funds to support the extraordinary range of programs and exceptional quality of education that have become the hallmarks of CCA. In 2018, Niche ranked Canyon Crest Academy as the #1 BEST public high school in San Diego, and #5 BEST public high school in California. The Canyon Crest Academy Foundation is pleased to have helped CCA to be one of the nation’s top-ranked high schools.

Why A Foundation?

Although CCA receives funds from the State of California, the amounts are insufficient to pay for the exemplary classroom instruction and numerous special programs that are the reason so many students choose to attend CCA. The gap between public funds and CCA’s actual needs seems to expand each year. The Foundation’s role is to raise funds to bridge that gap to support the expansive curriculum and enriching educational and athletic programs available to CCA students.

The  CCA Foundation has achieved a Platinum Status from Guidestar (now Candid).  GuideStar is the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. They gather and provide access to the most comprehensive, up-to-date, and accurate nonprofit information available. The Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar.
